THE WEDDING ALBUM
Not every image from the day, but all the best images that capture what it was all about. There’s more to any story than a single image; the images are a narrative, and should be different, yet appear part of the one day’s event. The wedding photo album doesn’t appear every day, but make it something worth showing off on special occasions.
THE GROUP SHOTS
Relatives often travel quite a distance to attend a wedding. Having at least of few images of their attendance (and spending some time talking to them) is the least that can be done. The large group shot is a tradition, and often worth sending to each person in attendance.
ICONIC CITY SITES
Sydney and Australia have no end of famous landmarks, parks, gardens and beaches. A few classic images of the new couple from some of these locations are part of the day’s experience. Centennial Park, the Opera house, the harbour bridge, a few places in Darling Harbour, the Chinese gardens are all great opportunities for photos.
Some venues will demand a payment if any of these images are ever published. Occasionally a couple will find themselves lucky enough to have one of their images used as an example in a bridal magazine; somebody will be paying a fee if there is a privately owned building in the background.
THE FRAMED SINGLE IMAGE
This is the most view photo of the wedding, probably displayed on the mantelpiece or the modern equivalent. It is such a universal image that it is unusual to see a home without one. Basically it is an enlargement of the best image of the day, with the bride on her own or the couple together. The best image is a matter of personal opinion, so narrow it down to the best few and let the happy couple make the final decision.
WEDDING VIDEO
A category in itself, but it’s almost odd not to include this in a wedding these days. Having the videographer and the photographer from the one company helps prevent the two tripping over each other, and allows a few images to be used in both. As about including a video in the wedding photo package.
